If donating to Good Will, take a photo of your donations, and write what they are, such as a like new dress skirt. The tax programs ask those specific questions. And if audited you have to prove you donated that skirt, so photos help.

OMG! I'd never again leave my pet alone with someone you don't personally know. I had a cat back in 2011, that was on heart meds. I paid $35 a day for a "professional" to come by twice a day and give Reuben his pill. Showed her and her assistant how to do it. They were both confident they could do it. They even said, they have their "own way". She had a dog walking training business for years, so I thought she could handle it. I signed a lengthy contract. We left for Palm Springs CA. Two days later we got a call from her that "Reuben wasn't cooperating". It was all Reuben's fault. Because of her own health issues, her assistant was doing all the work. Finally, on Dec 23rd, Reuben still hadn't had his meds. We had to catch a $700 flight on Xmas Eve to come home and save our little boy. She never apologized, and even cut a hole in the back of our sofa to get him out from hiding. When we received a bill from her, I passed out, really, from the stress. She was going to take us to court for not paying her. My husband explained how hit cost us over $1200 for air fare and lost hotel fees to come home because she didn't do what she was paid to do. She kept repeating over and over, I will get a laywer, I will get a lawyer, like a crazy parrot, and wouldn't listen to him. We paid her with a check to have proof. The sad part is, we trusted her, and her assistant. She had good reviews, from people she had picked for us to speak to. She still has her business cards here and there at small businesses, I take them down when I can. Wouldn't want my worst enemy to go through what I did....except her of course :-) I did contact the BBB, and filed a complaint, doesn't mean anything.
I do live in a small community, right outside hers, and you know how those places talk. I've told everyone!

I don't vacation anymore. I have a new kitty, since Reuben passed away. I may get a trailer and have her travel with us. We have nice lady that usually watches our cats, she was away for Christmas.

How Do You Know a Trend is Officially \"Over?\"

Ha ha, never heard of Chevron. I think I might have seen it on a skirt.
I live in a craftsman with antique furniture, so I'm guessing most trendy stuff doesn't make it into my surroundings.
I have noticed birds on things were all the rage for years. I've always wondered what was next.

Buying isn't the answer. I built my house in a quiet mountain community. About 8 years into living here, we ended up with new residents, playing loud music, building motor bike trails on their property, pot smoking, etc. It's actually louder than being in the city, because there are not noises to block it.
I don't say a word to anyway. Basically, there are no laws here. Plus after someone spend a much of money and time building a bike trail in their yard, are they really going to stop because I asked them nicely. Nope.
I want to move.

What Vendors should NOT say to customers:
"We have some, but they are really expensive, are you sure you want to see them".
This was said to me when I was looking for a postcard of Poland. I frequent postcard and paper shows, and that was not the first time when someone thought I didn't have money or look like I could afford anything. I've spend $500 on one postcard before, so calm your ass down vendors!
Goes both ways.

I can't get over how well tea tree oil works on mold. I used to use bleach, but now have a chemical free home. I'd seen on pinterest about using tea tree oil and water and wow, so happy.
I think vinegar might work to prevent mold and mildew, but I've tried it over and over and it didn't remove it

Gorgeous home. It has so much character in a classy way. Love the door and entry. I grew up in Chicago and we had the exact same texture on the walls.

I'd like to add, the photography is well done.

LOL on #1 usually people I know that talk about my house have the ugliest house.

I actually know people have different tastes in houses, but why they feel like they need to share the negative comments I'll never figure out.
I live in a craftsman we built ourselves in 2000. If someone comes over and doesn't say one word about my house and how beautiful it is, because I know it is :-) I don't care, because I know they live in some ugly-ass ranch or A-frame, but hey that is my opinion. I don't go to their house and tell them it's ugly.
Everyone is so different is everyway, how can someone say what is the right color or décor and what isn't.
