If you end up having to replace the legs, Lowe's sells some in the right shape and many different lengths for dirt cheap, and you can either buy a straight or an angled mount, depending on the look you're going for. They come in bare wood with brass or nickel feet, and can be painted or stained.

Similar pre-stained legs go for about $15 each elsewhere.
While you're at it, putting on longer legs might make it blend better with other styles because MCM furniture tends to be very low.

What about black subway tiles for the backsplash? I think black will make the wood countertops read more Scandinavian and less country, and allow the awesome stove to be more of an industrial design asset.

If it works, it works. The only way to go wrong with hanging something you love is using a frame that doesn't justify what's in it. A cheap plastic frame came make even the best artwork look like a dorm room afterthought.
