Sure, because we do not have large plots of land (either because we cannot afford them or because we don't want them), we are not doing the keeping-up-with-the-Joneses yard-scaping. I think our generations have been incredibly creative with gardening and have also connected our gardening concepts to environmentally-conscious philosophies. I have been incredibly impressed with urban gardening and small-space solutions.

This is perfect for DC! For some reason they act like the technology of splitting the bill has never reached here and refuse to do it at almost ever establishment in the district.

this was the perfect solution to ensure my husband doesn't get away with walking off with my headphones yet again ;) @kbombard6 I kept adding colors because you need so much string to cover the whole headphones, it was much easier for me to manage.

maybe you (annabella) could make them hot water bottle covers instead (the lid could be the top of a robot head, maybe :)? also, instead of making new stuffed animals like the incredibly patient and talented mom above, it seems like if you have less time/craftiness, it would great idea to pull the stuffing out of already favorites and then stitch them back up?

I have the target one listed above in my living room and it works perfectly as a toy box. I had considered making my own, but thick felt is pricey.

We love cloth diapering, although like many use disposies on trips and overnight (baby sensitive to feeling wet). I have good mama and bum genius. If we did it again, I would do all bum genius all-in-one as they are as easy as a disposable, but we love the cuteness of the goodmama [when my first one arrived in the mail, my DH said "This is so cute, I am excited to do diapers." I imagine a disposable diaper has never made a man say that!]. On smell...definately make sure that you are using less soap (sounds counter-intuitive, but that much soap isn't really needed in any of your laundry) and make sure that it is completely rinsed out. I pre-rinse to make sure any remaining "mess" is loosened. Every once in awhile when I notice lingering smell, I add vinegar to either the diaper load or to clean out the washer. In the diaper pail, I just added a lid (I use the miniature metal trash can from world market) and don't have a problem at 11 months. Yay cloth diapering!

certainly worth trying (because there are obviously some lovers out there), but i love avocado and i love eggs, and i hate the two together...it somehow ruins them both for me--i think it is the temperature, as i like for the avocado to be a cool counterpoint and it always feels like warm goo in the eggs.

i like the white too, depending on the girl, maybe with jeweled pulls (since it sounds like the color is tiffanyish). Since it is a teen, the dresser would be really cool in bright orange, purple, dark teal, or black chalkboard paint! My best advice would be to let her pick :)
