Sorta done. I think part of the problem (and it's a good problem to have!) is that I got a job and started working full-time again. When I was unemployed, working on my house was a good distraction from actually looking for a job. Apartment Therapy New York | NY Spring Cure: Graduation |

I've taken classes with Gropius' daughter, Ati, and in one class, she said that she'd been reading a book about her father and the building of the house and remarked that there were things in the book about the house that she didn't know. She did say that she enjoyed living in the house. It was a very influential house as people would drive to the countryside to watch it being built. Apologies for positing so late. I've been working on my kitchen for weeks now, cleaning out each corner and installing a clock/radio/stereo, paper towel holder, and toaster oven underneath my cabinets. Literally, the only thing left to do was to clean off the kitchen table and the mid-sized counter, as you can see in the before picture: Apartment Therapy New York | NY Spring Cure: Week One Two - Weekend |

I bought some at Lowe's and they were able to cut it to size. I used it for the back of a bookcase and it's so cool to be able to see thru it. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | SF Good Questions: How Do I Create this Fabric and Perspex Backsplash? |

This is a very similar layout to the kitchen in my first apartment in Austin. The dead corner next to the stove housed the water heater for the apartment. If you don't have something like that in that corner, you should switch the positions of the frig and cooktop/oven. Also, the wall across from where the frig is now doesn't have anything on it and you could put in very shallow shelves and/or countertop there.
