At least you don't do this professionally. I had a contractor order and replace a small window with a larger window that had to be special ordered. He took the measurements and added the additional measurements, assuring me it would be perfect. When I got home to see the finished project, the window was 10-inches shorter than the small window that was already there, and instead of realizing his mistake...he just filled in the gaps with sheetrock! I now have a window that looks like a porthole on a cruise ship.

It doesn't look that small to me with the great layout, furniture selection, and sunlight. Beautiful!!

I LOVE the after! I have two dumpster chairs myself that I have re-done twice now. Had I bought them straight up, they would not have cost me near the $$. A found chair is kind of like a free cat...there will always be expenses down the road because as we all know...there is no such thing as 'free.' But it's too late...you've already fallen in love. And in the end, they are worth every penny.

Very smart looking! I love the tile and the black wall to balance out the black firebox insert (and the insert!) The mirrors and artwork are awesome!! Excellent job...I say worth the time you put into it.

This is adorable for a small bathroom! A quick and easy fix with great results! Love the bright colors! I did this a few years ago for a friend who had run out of funds on a major home renovation project. (We did stripes in the kitchen.) Looked fabulous...so much better than the ugly hold linoleum...and it never did wear off. So a great solution when you need an update but aren't able to make a major $$ investment!

This can't be his old apartment, right? This must be the listing photo from before he bought it vs. what he did after moving in? Regardless, I like the exposed brick and the newly stylized apartment very much.

When it comes to cat urine, Nature's Miracle has nothing on Scoe 10X. You can only buy it on-line. It's expensive, but worth every penny. Nature's Miracle...you can still smell it on a warm day. Scoe 10X...you will never smell it, again. I recommend it to all my clients and have used it myself when the neighborhood stray started marking my front door. Works on pretty much everything. I encourage you to visit their website, and no this is not a paid-for advertisement. It's just such a miracle, I wanted to share.

It looks very, very cool...but doesn't that wood get dusty? How would you clean it? I know you can vacuum, but that only cleans up so much. Love the look, very innovative...but not sure I would want to do it due to the dust factor.

I like it! The floor is great and the new layout, too. I agree that moving a sink is not real 'budget friendly', but I also can't imagine having a little sink like that staring directly into the backsplash. The positive thing is that they had pretty nice cabinets. Most people needing to remodel aren't so lucky. Great job and hope you have many years out of enjoyment out of your new kitchen!
