I haven't been on board this whole chevron/zig-zag trend at all. I think it's an ugly pattern that I could never figure out why was so popular. The only zig-zag I've ever really liked is Missoni.

Sure- DIY window seat cushions, etc. Have you priced the cost of heavy duty urethane foam for upholstery? Just a heads up- it's pricey to buy the good stuff that wears well. My best idea for making your own toss pillows; get the insides/stuffing/pillow form from a thrift store pillow.

I have to join the 'dislike' camp here. I was hoping that the beautiful bird's eye maple could be saved- afterall, it is a worthwhile project. I am not against painting wood, but just very worn out and badly damaged wood. I also would have kept the original knobs, but that is just my taste. I'm sure the owner will get many years of service out of this piece anyway.

Congrats on doing a really beautiful job, but in a few years these chairs are going to look really old and dated- and not necessarily in the best way.

I hope the owner never decides to strip the paint off. It is a pain and takes patience. I would NEVER paint a piece that has such lovely wood. I think the current craze to paint anything that moves is a shame. Paint can be a wonderful option- when the piece isn't much, but this credenza was beautiful on it's own. OH well. I guess the objective is that the owner is happy.

Sorry- not a fan. I think in 20 years the owner will look at it and not like it. It's too trendy to last.
