The kitchen (including the door) and the living room were already painted when we moved in, so I can't help with that. Sorry!

The rug is from overstock.com! Honestly, the quality isn't that great but I love the pattern!

Thank you for all of the positive comments! You all just made my day! In response:
1. I bought the living room rug off of Overstock.com!
2. Our dogs are Yorkies (Bruno and Stella).
3. I don't remember what our paint colors are but I can try to dig the old paint cans up!

In response to the comments re: plastic hangers: I have plastic hangers for safety reasons, period. I agree that they're not as aesthetically pleasing as wooden hangers, and could've just replaced them with wood when I submitted these pictures, but I suppose I just got used to the look of the plastic hangers and honestly, didn't give it a second thought before it was picture time. Thanks for the comments though! Keeps me thinking...

Birch - To tell you the truth, I didn't do a lot of nursing in that chair when Finley was a newborn because she was in our room for the first few months. However, when she was a little older and sleeping in her crib, the chaise was actually really convenient for night feedings because I was able to nurse with her while laying down (something I hadn't even thought of when I initially purchased it). It may not be as easy to get out of compared to a rocking chair, but I love snuggling up with her on it when we're reading because there's room to sprawl out. Plus, one of our dogs (pictured above) reads with us at bedtime so there's plenty of room for everyone!

Jen JoJay - I actually don't remember what color we used for Finley's walls. Sorry!

Hi Sarah, in response to your comment: I have a couple of reasons for why I display the covers of a few books. Most of these books are some of our favorites, and since my kids are still too young to read the titles on the spine of a book, being able to see a book's cover simply makes it easier for them to find. I also find the covers of some books to be exceptionally beautiful, so I like to display them as I would for any piece of art. Lastly, we place some of our "special" books up higher (but low enough for my older child to reach) because my younger child is still too young to be capable of handling a paper book properly (she still draws on the pages, rips pages out, etc.). I totally agree with you though. Finley has plenty of her board books to pick from until she graduates to paper. :)

Hi Sam! The throw on the chaise in Finley's room is by Amity Home. :)
