That settee is so freaking cute I can't stand it! I would love that in my office, but alas, I have run out of room.

The raised detail between the drawers is hideous in the original, but so perfect in the painted version. Love it!

Simple but effective way of bringing some color into a room. I like that Maxwell used the accent color sparingly -- makes it more special. I know this is sponsored by Glidden, so their products are going to be featured, but in the real world, there's generally no reason to buy a quart of paint if you're just doing an accent -- a sample pot should be sufficient, or even leftover paint from another project. Unless, of course, you need a specific color that isn't available in a sample pot; been there!

The Before wasn't horrible, but the After is divine -- the new paint and hardware elevate the table from ok to fabulous. Great job! I would love to have this in my home office.

Outstanding makeover! I have a small chest of drawers that belonged to my husband's grandmother. It has great proportions, but it, too, was stained a hideous orangey color. I wanted to throw it out, but instead, I had the body painted blue and the drawers and hardware painted white. Now it now sits in my home office and serves as storage for my work files.

Great the wide planks on the walls, the floor tiles, the paint color -- really, everything!

I just used C2 paint throughout the first floor. My painter referred to it as "liquid gold" - it goes on very smoothly, and it has little odor. I did make the mistake of buying their oil-based primer for the living room and it was foul-smelling. It is expensive, but worth it.

Very nice job! Looks like the fabric coordinates well with the color of the siding on the house, as well as the little table next to the chair.

We just had the entire first floor of our house painted, and not one door was left white. The colors add so much personality to the rooms. We considered black doors, which I love, but thought they might be too formal/too dark for our space.

Great place. I agree with others here -- that kitchen does not seem like an embarrassment to me (I've seen much worse!). I think my favorite space is the bedroom -- love the colors.

It's so great you were able to marry modern convenience with the charm of an older home. Kudos! My parents are about to completely remodel their 1970s kitchen for the first time, and the colors and materials you chose are exactly what I want them to choose. I will definitely share this with them!

Kaycee loves them, and that's what counts. I think they're fantastic -- look at them with her sideboard, mirror, and lamps; gorgeous! She will have them for years to come. Great investment!

There must be a reason they left the floors as is -- maybe saving up for something spectacular. Other than not loving the floors, I think this is a great update. My husband and I are coming to the end of our own kitchen update -- some things were replaced (countertop, backsplash, sink and faucet, refrigerator), other were refreshed (fresh paint and hardware on the old kitchen cabinets), and still others were left as is (floors, kitchen island, most of the appliances). It's a balancing act between big dreams and budget reality.

When I met my husband in the early '80s, he was using one of these as a TV stand (it was much smaller than the one pictured here, and I believe his mother had stained it a very dark red). I think we threw it out when we got married and moved into a larger apartment.
