I would like to learn how to be more confident in the kitchen. I've spent the last year learning how to cook, and I'm proud to say I've gotten good at it. But my confidence? Not so much. I still don't feel comfortable "winging it" in the kitchen (I only use recipes - even though it's sometimes a dish I've made half a dozen times) and when everyone gathers to eat my food I apologize in advance if they don't like it, even though they usually do.

Rainbow Grocery does not announce the date of the sale until it's really close.

Good Questions

Hello everyone and thank you so much for the kind words! I'm responsible for the second photo. It's my old dining room in a past rental (hence why it's temporary).

To answer a few of your concerns about the morality of helping yourself to a store's paintchips, that isn't the case for my project. To quote my own words from another post (not the finished project one that AT linked to): "About three years ago I was given a complete set of a certain paint company's paint chips. Not a fan book (I was given that, too), but samples that came in a carry case and were larger than a paint chip. They're great, but some of them have been discontinued and blah blah blah the case is really heavy I just use the fan book most of the time. So I had this giant case of paint chips in my tiny apartment, just taking up space and not being used. I decided to put them to good use!"

In short, these chips were all given to me by a certain paint chip manufacturer because I use their paint so frequently.

I should also note that I used double-sided tape for this project. And if you are planning on doing something similar, make sure you keep an extra roll on hand because occasionally a paint chip will fall off. Cheers! - Sally

Dkzody, that's why I mounted it onto removable foam core! I'm sure in 6 months I'll want to change it out for something different :)

Hi guys! Thanks for the nice comments! And the Star Wars sticker stays! As for the confusion about the cabinets, Lily pretty much summed it up in the comment above. If you go to the post on my blog, you can see that I photographed each cabinet open (three in total) and then did the same for the after shot: http://sallytv.blogspot.com/2009/03/before-after-my-bathroom-cabinets.html this is the after shot of the original photo before the jump: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_hQo8uOvzGOU/Sa2psxazeKI/AAAAAAAACgI/LYGm4h7hYiU/s1600-h/DSC02505_2.jpg Again, thanks for all your kind words!

- Sally

I was the one who took the photos, so I might be able to answer some of the questions.

It's not a half bath. And it's actually quite large, just difficult to photograph. What you don't see is the separate shower that's tucked into a corner (and impossible to photograph). That's why there's no shower curtain on the bathtub.

Also, the lighting is perfect, it's just difficult to capture that with a camera.

The difference between Aura and the paints listed is that Aura is low-VOC whereas these ones are zero VOC.
