How about the bathtub? I have a similar tub (white tiles with white grout) and I haven't found a good system for scrubbing it down. It's beginning to be discolored, yuck! I love this place and am so glad we got to see the house tour. Love the colors, love the decor, love it all. I'd also like to know the paint colors -- especially the kitchen yellow and living room grey/brown. Thanks for sharing!! I love what you've done with the bedroom in particular. It's the same layout as my bedroom (with a balcony on one side and closet on the other). I'm curious though -- I don't see a dresser, vanity or any other furniture. Realistically, where is all your stuff? Thanks for sharing your home with us! I love the gray and yellow too - I wouldn't have thought of that combination but it is cheery and warm at the same time. I would also like to know what gray paint you use. Also, it looks like you painted a white accent wall in the living room or 2 gray walls. Can you tell me more about that decision? Opinionated Architect, thanks for checking the color wheel for me. I guess that's something I should have done to start. Painting the walls blue, and even bringing the turquoise pillows down to a lighter blue, is definitely doable. Xandra, thanks for your thoughts on paint colors. I had planned to paint my bathroom blue, so I was hoping to avoid painting the living room blue as well. I love the idea of wallpaper and I might explore that option more. idontdobeige, you're right that the cream explosion on the walls was there when I bought the place. NDprairiegirl, I love the idea of a chandelier! I've secretly always wanted one :) Thanks to everyone for the continued comments! I'll make sure to post the final product. Wow - I am surprised to see my request was posted! And that so many of you commented! Thank you so much for taking the time to offer your suggestions. I got some really good feedback here, and I feel so inspired! Clearly I have a lot of work to do, but at least I have some direction now. Many of you commented about the clash of red and teal, and so I think that's where I'll start. I'd also like to start replacing my furniture with nicer pieces (many of these are college leftovers), so your thoughts on the lamp and coffee table in particular were helpful. Oh - and for those of you commenting on the painting - the artist is my good friend Erin Milan up in Seattle. She is amazing!
