Seems most manufacturers of food wrap packaging here in the UK just aren't that smart since only one of my boxes has the tabs. But we now have plastic 'EasyCut' dispensers for foil and clingfilm (from which you pull out the amount you need, swing down the lid and it slices it off for you) which are refillable and MUCH easier to live with than a drawer full of unruly cardboard boxes.

I don't know about anyone else, but when I'm looking for somewhere to hang stuff that's not done being worn, I have a section of my closet just for that stuff. It's kept separate from 'clean' stuff with the empty hangers from clothes that are waiting to be washed, and since all my clothes are never clean at one time (which I imagine is the same for most of us) there's always space. I guess the only real drawback would be if you wanted to allow things to air a bit – I have an open closet so it makes no difference to me.
