We're going to forgo a gathering this weekend. We're always hosting and we seem to always have out of town visitors staying with us, so I definitely don't solicit more company when we have a weekend to ourselves. I'll be using this weekend to tie up loose ends from the cure, but I will make sure to stop my the farmers market tomorrow for some fresh flowers, and ingredients to make a lovely meal this weekend. Thanks AT....this was just the push I needed to get more organized after moving into our home last march. Hope everyone has a great weekend...well deserved!!

A Gift to Yourself: Hang that Artwork! The January Cure Assignment #19

I'm planning on doing a gallery wall of photos of my daughter. I've already framed 9 4x6 photos and have the wall picked out, but I'm so nervous about actually getting them up on the wall. I want to do 3 rows of 3 photos all evenly spaced out...I'm just not sure the right way to go about this. Any suggestions?

I completely organized all our paperwork and documents last April when we moved into a new house. Bought a small filing cabinet from Ikea which has hanging file folders for everything....bills, receipts, copies of wills, tax info, gov't documents, etc. my main motivation to do this was after two significant deaths in my family where I got to see first hand how important it is to be organized in this department. If something were to happen to my husband or I or both of us, I want to make it easier for whoever would be looking after our estate. A little off topic, but if you haven't already done so, make 2014 your year to have your wills done up....so important. It's easy to put off, but you don't always see these things coming. Sorry to be so morbid on a Monday morning : )

Less Mess & Stress: Getting Your Paperwork & Files Organized January Cure: Assignment # 13

Wow, what a weekend! Got caught up on almost everything...finished cleaning the oven racks which was left over from last weekend. Reorganized our front entrance & back entrance closets. Master bedroom was in really good shape, so I just washed the sheets & duvet cover....blinds have been dusted and I reorganized all of my jewellery into an old vintage sewing dresser that I inherited from my grandmother after she passed away. I wanted to go through my daughters dresser to purged some of her outgrown clothing, but didn't get to it for now. Does anyone else find stuffing a duvet back into a duvet cover one of the most tedious jobs ever?? There hasn't been nearly enough complaining about this issue ; )

So I'm a bit behind...struggling with motivation. Maybe motivation isn't the right word. I'm chasing after a toddler all day, so maybe it's exhaustion, but whatever the case - I've found the answer! WINE!!! I've stocked up on a few bottles, and now I put the baby to bed & get working on my Cure assignments knowing that I have something delactable to sip on during the process...it's working! Just make sure that you're also stocked up on coffee in the morning ; )

@biscuitpotato, I feel your pain! I have a 19 month old who is a tornado of mess everyday. I'm proud of myself for keeping up with the Cure, but I must admit it's pretty overwhelming with a little one....I've been finding it hard to fit in a daily shower so far this month! Oh well, at least my house will look good....I'll shower in February ; )
