I reused a pair of knickers as a shoe polish rag, but was slightly embarrassed. I ran out of polish halfway through, so raided my housemate's shoe polish bag and found..... a shoe polish covered pair of knickers! It made me happy. @Trish1980 Sorry to be boring but there's nothing green about mineral water, your tap water is subject to much more stringent tests anyway. 5 Things We Always Have In Bulk No Matter How Small Our Space Is | Apartment Therapy Re-Nest |

I live in a very communal urban house share with five others, including my girlfriend, plus a bunch of chickens. It's fun, but sometimes can feel a little claustrophobic and when my gf and I move out I'm looking forward to having more privacy - we end up eating out quite a lot so that we can be alone without being in bed, and it would be nice to be able to be just the two of us more often. What about finding a blue and a pink set where the pattern and tone are the same - I'm thinking of some children's ikea textiles I have that look good together but are definitely blue and pink. Bedding Ideas for a Shared Bedroom Good Questions | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

The Chartier restaurant has the little drawers that the writer mentions not because of some lovely local tradition, but because it was originally a food kitchen for homeless Parisians. David Lebovitz on French Napkins | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

That's so strange, my housemates and I had this conversation just yesterday, and I chose my Le Creuset Round Dutch Oven - partially because it was my uncle's then my dad's then my mum adopted it and replaced the knob for me... so whilst I love my food processor and whisk and marble rolling pin and enormous cookie cutter collection, none of those things are as irreplaceable as something that I love in its own right, but for sentimental reasons too. First every big Christmas day style dinner for 11 (not actually on Christmas day) - half the guests got held up and said they were going to be 3 hours late, so we turned off all the food for a while and started drinking. Needless to say, we burnt all the food. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Your Most Epic Entertaining Disasters |
