I just did this a week and a half ago. I'll have to figure out something else to do today. Does making marinara from scratch count?

I'm really excited about this assignment. I've been working on my bedroom a little at a time during some of the smaller assignments, but I just want to call it done. The only thing missing is the headboad I'm making as my project assignment.

We try to do this at regular intervals anyway, but it won't be tonight. It'll have to be this weekend. We did a slightly modified version of this yesterday, my husband's out of town, and I think the kids would go crazy.

I love that someone said they're going to read a book... when I do do this, does a book on my phone count? I don't buy books any other way since we live overseas and don't have the space.

Fortunately I very recently did a big cleanout in my kitchen, but I'm still going to tackle this project and get as much as I can done on Saturday. I'll be solo parenting on Sunday and don't want to deal with any of it then.

And while my flowers are still fine, I'm going to buy some more in part to get into the habit, and in part to pretty-up another area of my apartment.

caitlin, it would probably be expensive, but you could get it done professionally.

I'm working on either travel photos being blown up and framed, some art work, or a combination of both.

Moxie, I also have two projects I'm aiming for. One is to touch up areas that need painting, with a strong focus on the foyer and hallway.

The second, which is the one I'm more excited about and I probably wouldn't have done if I wasn't participating in this, is to make a headboard for my bed. If anyone has tips and links on how to do this... I'm all ears.

My problem is that most of my items that I'm willing to get rid of are sellable. But, I have a hard time actually selling it (setting that up, getting it to potential buyers...)

For this assignment though I have spent some time reassessing one of my bedroom walls and I think it might be a nice place to add some artwork, photos, and plants.

BrooklynKJ - I never did my kitchen. I spent some time cleaning it very recently, so I opted out. We have a tiny apartment and I really wonder how people with bigger homes were able to do it. I mostly kept on task and just cleaned the floors, but since our floors were piled with junk, it has already made a world of difference. I'm pretty excited about this challenge.
