I sort of chose 2 things - one was to clean out the tops of the cupboards in my kids rooms and give them a general tidy up. I managed to complete that today while they were visiting Granny. I have purposely left the bottoms of their cupboards where their toys are stored to work on together with them, because I've started to realise how much being organised and having an organised space is a real skill, and it's one I'd like to help them learn. I plan next week to take a day and sort through all of the stuff that's currently stuffed into the bottom of the cupboard and work out what to keep, bin and donate and then find appropriate storage solutions for the stuff we are keeping. I know it would be easier just to do it myself, but I think I need to take one for the team and work together on it. Would be interested to hear from anyone who has involved their kids and how this worked (or didn't!).

I'm in Australia too, so thought I'd say Hi to you and all the other Aussies and New Zealanders and anyone else in the southern hemisphere! I am just planning on doing everything a day later, so when I wake up in the morning the email has arrived overnight and I can check out all the comments which seem to give me some motivation.
