We have captains beds (1 queen and 1 twin) in both of our bedrooms along with wall-mounted shelves for "night stands" and swing-arm lights for bedtime reading. And standard closets with built-ins. This has eliminated the need for dressers and bedside tables in our bedrooms.

I'm shopping for a comfortable (both sofa & mattress) sofa bed for a tiny room and a friend referred me to Lay-Z-Boy. They have both memory foam and air-filled mattresses. Sofa style is contemporary with a slim silhouette and very affordable (Presidents Day Sale).

Took me a long time to realize that I didn't have to white-glove-clean my bathroom everytime...now I can finally just clean the mirror, or just clean the countertop...letting go of my old ideal has helped a lot. Also, I no longer feel guilty about using some new products that really do make it easier...such as cleaning wipes, disposable dusters, etc.
