Thanks for the suggestion! I did consider privacy film, but my partner wasn't a fan of it when I thought about putting it on the front door. Figured covering three entire windows with it wouldn't be a good idea. I went instead with some cotton/poly roman shades that we'll pull up when we're cooking so they don't get covered in grease (hopefully). I'm also gonna paint the kitchen for this weekend's project, so new color scheme of ecru, navy, and sky blue is in the works!

Oh man. This is gonna suck. There are so many things I want to change about my kitchen. The ancient, ivory apartment-sized fridge. My lack of cabinet space and thus crowded cabinets. Messy and cluttered spice storage. All the crap on top of the fridge because we don't have storage space. My hideous kitchen table. The ugly white walls (normally love white walls, but these need some help). Oh, and since as part of another challenge I removed the blinds, intending to replace with curtains that I ended up hating, we need something for privacy too.

Anyone have any suggestions for window treatments for a kitchen that doesn't have a stove fan so it gets kinda greasy, but for a girl who hates plastic blinds AND most curtains? I wish I could just leave them open but we need some nighttime privacy from the neighbors.

I'm going to remove the greasy blinds in our rental kitchen (stove fan is nonexistent) and replace them with breezy white curtains that allow all the beautiful sunshine in, but still have some privacy for naked nighttime snack making and are WASHABLE!
