Genius, beautiful, great work! I would have killed for a cloffice as a 10 year old! *sigh* I would kill for a cloffice now as a 33 year old.

All are great ideas & Skype/Facetime are the best! When I was pregnant with my first baby while living in Australia, my family back in Tennessee through me a Skype baby shower, which involved them all gathering at my parents' house with the snacks & presents, etc. & my husband & I made similar snacks on our side of the world. Everyone opened the present he or she brought so I could see them & thank them "face to face" - lots of laughter & tears but it was so wonderful. Then my parents brought all the gifts when they came for the birth. You could do similar things for birthdays, etc. where they can be there for parties & see opening presents that were sent or whatever. But it's really the quick conversations here & there & snippets of everyday life that make being far away easier so if you guys can Facetime, it's so sweet.

I have the IKEA one & it is a dream for baby supplies to keep next to the changing table. As my son has gotten older & his diapering/bathing needs aren't as full-on, the bottom shelves are now great for holding puzzles & books that are safe to have within his reach. I love the blue color but I'm also tempted to go back for the dark grey option they also have, if only I had somewhere to use it ...

Perfect timing, thanks for this! We're moving our family back from Australia to America. Both of our sons, 3 and 1, were born here so don't know America & we're lucky that they're too young to totally "get it," but we're still trying to keep them in the loop on why everything is changing & why our house is such a mess & most importantly, why Mama & Dada are acting so batty all the time. Really love this advice & am enjoying reading all the comments - keep them coming, I need as much help as possible.

My old boss actually has created a line of the most adorable pill bags - she has lupus so has a lot of pill bottles & wanted a less elderly way to keep them organized. Most stylish pill solution I've ever seen! http://www.pillfold.com/

I love our Mountain Buggy Swift - we live in Australia & have travelled with it easily throughout Europe & America (including "off road" & cobblestones). It's the most compact of the Mountain Buggy range & was about $700 over here but probably cheaper on your side of the ocean. Collapses easily & is very sturdy - have no complaints after 2 years.

One obvious tip for any stroller with air-filled tires is absolutely keep the pump with you at all times because roughing it can make them lose pressure when you need it most!

I know I'm late on this topic but you should try an alchemy request on etsy to see if any of the artists can create one for you. All those creative minds are bound to come up with something that your baby would love with no threat of injury to him or it.
