I love not having a dishwasher as it keeps me tidy. Honestly, just soak stuff and washing takes no time at all. It's only my honey and me, plus the cat dishes, so it isn't like it's a lot of stuff anyway. I know that with a dishwasher we'd just let it pile up for days til it was full enough to run a load anyway. Don't see the point at all.

Absolutely paint it. My door is metal so I have some super strong magnets with hooks and hang all sorts of things on the back of it, change it around with the seasons or holidays. The curtain is also a great idea. Something else you might consider is putting a piece of furniture perpendicular to that door where that dresser is so it creates the illusion of an entry space. Maybe switch out the dresser and the tv console, so the tv would partially block the door. With something on the door as well you might even forget it's there.

The glass one is supposed to go on top of the marble one. Then it will be the right height.

Wonderful job. So needed, a tiny little something to help families at one of their worst possible moments.
