I absolutely hate flannel sheets. When my skin gets dry in the winter, it kind of gets stuck on the flannel and that feeling is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

All I need is a nice down comforter and I'm a happy camper. It is a bit chilly when I first hop into bed but once it warms up it feels comfortable all night.

I like #9. I've been living in my house for 2 years and I'm only now really starting to realize what I like. Take your time to find pieces that you really love, rather than going out and buying everything in sight at Home Goods when you move in.

I snagged the same headboard for $100 a while back. I have one of those cheap metal frames like this: http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/DuraBed-Queen-size-Steel-Foldable-Platform-Bed/5201282/product.html

You definitely need a bedskirt with it but it works.

Who cares if you're just going to cover it up with a comforter anyway?

I can't imagine ever having enough time to iron my sheets every time I wash them (yes, some people actually do!).

Once a week before vacuuming. I don't find it to be that big of a chore.. maybe because I don't have a whole lot of knick knacks or clutter?

My power rack and olympic weight set is one of the first things you see when you enter my house. It's not pretty, but I use it several times a week and I love having it at home rather than having to go to the gym.

It looks great! I love how you used the subway tile and hex tile without it looking too dated. It looks timeless.

I don't follow a rigid cleaning schedule but I do try to clean up some each night so that I don't spend all weekend cleaning.

I downloaded an app on my iPad called HomeRoutines to help keep me organized and accountable. I set up weekly cleaning tasks, biweekly tasks, and each week I focus on one zone of my house to deep clean. This ensures that my windows, baseboards, etc., get cleaned on a regular basis.

As someone who doesn't really "get" art, but likes what it can add to a space, I see nothing wrong with what David does. I always seek out art that matches my decor.

Different strokes for different folks.

I have owned a few pairs of designer jeans and all except one pair have held up just fine in the washing machine, week after week. I exchanged the one pair that did not hold up at Nordstrom. Hooray for excellent customer service!

I really like to batch cook, and slice fruits/veggies in big batches once a week, so this wouldn't work at all for me. I also have far too many condiments that I wouldn't want to pare down!

#2 seems like it would be really awkward in theory, but it works really well!

I have a very small spare bedroom that I planned on turning into a guest room soon. I think I will go ahead and push the bed against the wall in front of a window. The flow of the room would be much better if it wasn't centered.

I don't really have any set rules. I don't have a TV in my room simply because I don't see a need to and don't want to spend the money on another TV. For me, electronics don't seem to have any effect on my sleep patterns so I'm not really opposed to the idea.

I also don't bring food in there, but that's mostly because the kitchen is 2 floors down from my bedroom.

1 - single-serve blender, which I use every day for smoothies.
2 - heated throw
3 - down comforter
4 - single-serve coffee maker - no, it's not a keurig. It's actually a $15 black & decker coffee maker that doesn't require any fancy coffee pods
5 - my ugly overstuffed couches because they are the comfiest couches I have ever sat on.

I've never thrown a housewarming party because I think it implies that the guests should bring gifts. I'm not comfortable with throwing myself a party where people may feel obligated to bring gifts.

My snow removal etiquette gripe is people who don't remove the snow from the top of their cars. Then it goes flying off onto your windshield when they drive in front of you.

Also, people who drive SUVs and pull out of their parking space without shoveling, then pull into a spot that someone else shoveled out when they get back. That is a jerk move.
