Good to hear :) Old Bay is a secret ingredient in many of my recipes, it's great in macaroni & potato salads, and on corn too!

As a Marylander I am appalled by the lack of Old Bay in this post :P. Also, interesting note: canned crab is picked by professional pickers who use special shears/scissors

I have that exact same dresser, it was also my baby dresser and is in desperate need of a makeover. I will most likely paint mine too!

Great idea, although I will have to eat BEFORE I watch Game of Thrones. I have tried and failed to eat while I watch.

I currently live near many farms, the smell usually lasts a day or two and then it's gone. I would take farm smells any day over city smells (I grew up in Baltimore City, MD): once a week trash day, the grocery store bone and fat truck in the summer, seafood restaurant dumpsters ew!

We use a small clear plastic bathroom trash can from Walmart for our tall kitchen tools. You can see everything you grab, it cleans very easily, is not breakable and everyone asks where I got such a nice utensil holder!

Milk does freeze very well. Skim freezes the best, 2% needs to be shaken once it is thawed. Whole milk separates, so if shaken it works great for cooking, not so much for drinking a glass.

After experiencing the amazing flavor of a whole ham, I will never buy a spiral sliced ham ever again. A whole ham does not dry out and the flavor is exponentially better. They are more difficult to cut, but if you have an electric knife or meat slicer go for the whole ham!

My family and I live in Maryland, usually I take my shoes off by the front door and wear slippers around. If I have people over they always keep their shoes on and just use the door mat before entering the house. Marylanders (from my experience) think it's weird to their shoes off when visiting. I let people know that I don't mind if they keep their shoes on or take them off, I just want them to be comfortable.

Warning: don't use wooden popsickle sticks, the warm moist conditions seeds require to germinate cause the popsickle sticks to grow black mold & rot within days.

Learn some 'one pot' meals or convert your current recipes to one pot meals. Usually I brown a meat in my pot, take the meat out and put it on a plate, then saute my vegetables in the same pot & deglaze, next put your meat back in the pot with any additional ingredients and finish cooking on your stove top or in the oven. This is great for soup, stew, roast, chili, tagine style recipes, ratatouille etc. A good enamel cast iron pot will be your new best friend.
