We have a very mellow 13 yr. old cat that we just took camping with us over the holidays. She has a harness and walks around on a leash. We got her out at rest stops and she'd rub around us and purr. In the desert in the tent we would watch the sun rise together. She really loved it but I think she's pretty unusual! Would You Leash-Train Your Cat? The New York Times |

I agree with Girl & Lamp. Thanksgiving is a very odd holiday. I did think a lot this year about what I was thankful for. No Black Friday for us! Holiday Resolutions: Next Year, I'm Going to _______. |

Candice is my favorite but I really like David's work very much. Saw him at the Alameda Antique Fair a couple of yrs. ago and stopped him to tell him how great I thought his work was and of course he was as nice as he is on his show! Who is Your Favorite TV Designer? |

We've lived in SF for almost 6 yrs. now in the Marina, ugh. We manage our building and pay only half for the usual rent cost, which is lucky. Otherwise we'd live somewhere else! So it is important to know if you have a pet, a car, want to live somewhere quiet, non-foggy, sunny, lively, and what you want from the city. We like Russian Hill, The Richmond, Bernal Heights, Pacific Heights and other areas so it is helpful to spend some time in different areas at different times of the day too. The types of people really vary as to different areas of the city. Best of luck to you! What's The Best Neighborhood To Live In San Francisco? Good Questions |

I agree with saintpetepaul. The traditional mousetrap is very instant and humane. I feel very bad trapping them but it is that or have them live in the kitchen where I work, which isn't very safe either. Bait the trap with peanut butter. It is also not legal to relocate a wild animal in some states. Check out this site and good luck. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Good Questions: Humane Way to Get Rid of Mice? |

What a great looking space! Our apartment is almost the exact layout - and most of the apartments in our building have the large bed nook. It is really cozy. I live in this size with my partner our cat and our dog! Thanks for sharing your space. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Northwest #7: Shannon's Sumptuous Studio |

Your orchid does look like a Dendrobium. Because light and water requirements are very important, check out the American Orchid Societies site at www.orchidweb.org to get the details to care for your orchid. Good luck.
