Beautiful work! On top of more pictures, I'd love to see a floor plan! Is that master bath on the parlor floor or the ground floor? How did you work it out to have rental units while maintaining the flow of the house. I'm living in a similar set up, though not as beautifully renovated, and our bedrooms are on the garden level, and would love to see how you changed the floor plan.

I am loving these reviews! Keep them coming. I'm eager to find something fun and healthful for our Kinect...

This looks labor intensive, but you may have just saved my grandmother's Herend platter that my toddler broke last week. Thanks for being so detailed!

I'm not sure how the masking tape works exactly - am I putting it on the main piece of porcelain or the chip? Do I fold it over the whole "fracture" while it's setting like a cast/brace?

Am I missing something or is there no eating/doing table?

It's a gorgeous apartment, but the lack of a proper table makes me feel like you're cheating a little bit.

While I'm not a big fan of Sharper Image, my parents had a scale from there that was sleek and simple. I got it for myself and five years later, it's still working its (sometimes not so) magic. Of course, now I can't find it on their site, but it looked quite a bit like the Soehnle, but all clear glass.

I've worked with Gerri Hernandez on several different kinds of projects, including children's candids and she's great (and very reasonably priced)! People I know used her for family photos and were very happy with the results. She does both film and digital. Here's her website: www.gerripix.com.

Tell her Alex Farkas sent you her way.

Good luck,

Where can I get a chandelier like the one in the cosy attic bedroom shot? It's exactly what I've been looking for?

Ooh, ooh, pick me! The chocolate/natural is lovely and so elegant, but we'll take any color combo.

Any recommendations on cheaper, great dish racks? My boyfriend just decided that our fancy Ikea dish rack gets too gungy, and we're in the market for the next great rack...

I may be getting married, but that's got nothing to do with my interest in design and I'm certainly not looking to Martha Stewart Weddings to help me with my wedding. I've been thinking about this since yesterday when the news broke, and this is just crappy thinking on the part of MSO. I actually saw a copy of Living on my way to work today and cursed her smiling face. Maybe they're folding because they don't understand their own readership enough to sell it to advertisers. Weddings is not the place for us Blueprint aficionados. Grrr....(with sadness)

Before I got my cats, I went to the allergist and made her test me against every kind of cat allergen there is. I'm allergic to dust mites and just about every kind of mold and mildew there is, and I sneeze at least 20 times every day, so it was a valid concern. All negative. Then came the kitties. And then came the rashes and the congestion and the etc. Back to the allergist I went and low and behold, I'm allergic to the two little fuzz balls that by that point my boyfriend and I had become completely besotted with.

Besides getting rid of them (not an option), my allergist's only other recommendation was to become a cleaning freak. So that's what I do. My vacuum cleaner and I have become very close and anything that is washable is washed frequently. I've been managing to keep the rashes at bay, but the fall molds make this a particularly bad time of year for me.

I'm willing to try anything that can make me less snotty. I don't know that I understand how this would work, as Alana mentioned, but I'm definitely willing to try.

I have a Sanyo vacuum cleaner but a little research tells me that the Hoover S bags would fit my bill nicely.

Is it too late to start?! I just borrowed the book from a friend while I wait for mine to come from Amazon.

I'm a total Cure virgin, but something needs to get my butt in gear so I'm hoping some deadlines and group motivation helps.

The thing is, I don't really have much of a budget, especially since we're hoping to be out of this apartment in a few months. I've been house hunting for 9 months now, and we're getting desperate. All of Maxwell's talk of clearing energy for change -- I thought maybe if I make my current home more bearable, a new home will appear for us. From the first few chapters, I can tell I'm a Deep Treatment girl. I'll take pictures of the apartment first thing tomorrow and post them on Flickr.

Must admit I'm a little scared, but that's probably a good thing...
