I'm actually thinking of doing this every month until my house is ready :s so not yet too much relaxing for me.... still have to: paint, stencil, paint some more, finish, get the custom made furniture I ordered, paint some more and finish up :) so I guess I'll be doing this until summer. I will miss the daily mails though...

Great tips!! I'm definetely looking into dimmers for my living room lighting (it's too bright, so I'd only use the standing lamp). I do want new fixtures everywhere too (the ones I have are HOT in only a few seconds and I don't think that's very environmentally friendly).

Thanks again for great tips!

I'm skipping this one since I already got rid of ALL my cd's (even the good ones) two months ago :) I moved to a smaller house, so I had to and I have them all on my ipod anyway :)

I will give a book away through "bookcrossing" soon though :)

I don't think I could live with "rules" like that, besides that: I will use the tips :) but just not all the time. A little messiness is okay. I'm totally agreeing with number 9 btw :)

One thing I do wonder: I was taught that it's best to pull your sheets back every morning so the bed can vent... is that not true, or do you have a solution for this?

I think I already solved these issues a few weeks ago, but I'll try to handle the ones that I didn't pay attention to now... I'm only not sure how to do it...

Okay I totally over-estimated: it took me 12 minutes ^^

(I am a freelancer and most of my paperwork is already with my accountant, since two weeks ago, so...)

Good luck everyone!!

@ Carol L. uuggghh I hate when that happens :D (paper stuck in shredder blades)

ps: I think I'll have/want to do this january cure every month :) (or shorter versions of it :))

I am always on top of bills (too important) and I have a system.

Nontheless... it's a mess in here :) I stopped using the system when I moved. I think I'll only need an hour, maybe two to sort things, so that shouldn't be too bad :)

My bedroom is the cleanest room of all I think :) (+ since I just moved here the closet seems to be fine), so in order to make things equally "challenging" for myself, I'll try to go ahead and start painting this room... it'll be the first one of a total of 4 rooms to paint, so let's get started :)

I've finished it, but the clean place where the boiler is hanging isn't something to send to you guys... so I'll wait one week to send you my picture, because then they'll put up the mdf doors/extra storage in front of it :) so then it'll be worthwhile.
But as mentioned: I'll go ahead and take a picture so I can give you a before and after shot :)

I already made plans for tonight: going to the fitness with my mom and watch a movie together afterwards... so it's a bad timing for this :) tomorrow I made plans to go to the movie theater, so that won't be a good time either... I'll try to find a day when I can do this, but it'll be hard.... (I often just look up stuff to buy for my house, until it's ready)

I already have a system... and there is no space at my backdoor (where I'll enter when I get out of my car, so 3 times out of 5). Anyhow: for those who didn't have it, they can surely use this tip :)

It's almost like you are following my own schedule :) yesterday we hung wallpaper up to the wall above the counter top in the kitchen, so this weekend would be perfect to do some cleaning there (everything has been removed from that wall) also: I need to seal a seam so I can hang my last picture ledge (ikea) (I want clean seams, I don't want to hide open seams behind the things I hang) in the kitchen. So... I was kind of already planning something like that.

As for other progress: due to the task you made me do this week (the thing of my list) I found out that the siphon of my boiler is broken :) so I know now how to fix it (thanks to dad). I also know that I can make it better by putting down some cement for flooring in this technical room (the place has terrible finishings). So less little holes for spiders to hide out. I am very happy today, let's see how long this lasts :)

Great weekend everyone!

I already have some artwork that is framed that needs hanging :)

BUT by coincidance, my mom is coming tonight to put the magnetic wallpaper up where I'll be hanging my stickygramms and others... so I guess that counts as hanging art for today :)

:D apparently your list (or the list I made when you made me make a list) has accidentally been inspiring me last weekend :) I didn't do just one, nor just two... but three tasks on the list already :) yey for me... okay: for us ^^

As a chore to do today I choose: clearing the space underneath my boiler and cleaning it properly. Because it's been messy, I need it to be cleared out when they deliver the furniture in a month or two and I can finally check what is wrong with my boiler... (seriously: something is up :s)

I just moved here in November, thus yesterdays tip wasn't fot me... (since there is a lot to stare at, but I already know when it will be finished (fe: my office furniture will arrive in a month or two) and today's challenge: I have been doing that ever since I moved :) not on purpose, but I just have some boxes that haven't been emptied out yet (waiting for the closets to arrive, some boxes that are going back to my mom and some boxes that either have already been discarded or are waiting for me to take the time to discard them :) so I already own my own messy "outbox".
I did love the weekend tips, my house was very fresh :) even though I also already had a bouquet of flowers :) so I went to get some other greens instead... I can't wait to see how my house will look at the end of this :)
