Thank you! They're by Bellino Fine Linens -- it's their "Plaza" duvet set. I got it on Rue La La and haven't seen it anywhere else, but Rue La La has it often. In fact, they have it right now in a slightly different color (mine is peacock blue; they currently have ocean blue).

That's actually the tutorial I used to make my headboard! I essentially used all the same products as Jenny, except I made a wood frame, since I couldn't mount my headboard on my wall. There are definitely many kinds of cheaper velvet online, and I did sample about 20 of them. I just opted to spend more for my favorite.

Oh, and it wasn't a headache for me -- it was difficult, but fun. :)

Hi guys! You could definitely do this project for MUCH cheaper than I did. About half of the cost was for the fabric. I was extremely picky about the color -- saturated peacock blue is NOT a very common color in cheap velvet, apparently -- and was willing to spend extra to get the shade of my dreams. Even if I had saved up for a non-DIY version, I'm not sure I would have found the exact color I wanted. Also, this fabric is 100% cotton. Even the $700 version from Ballard is a poly blend.
Thanks so much for posting this, Taryn!
