Why would you put feed n' wax on before the restor-a-finish? The wax part would prevent the tint in the restor-a-finish from being absorbed by the wood, wouldn't it? And the manufacturer recommends applying the restor-a-finish first.

Unoriginal, as so many others have suggested before me, but I also would say mirrors will liven the space during the day. One or two large ones will act almost like an additional window or two.

Good artificial lighting is always very important, including deciding whether your bulbs should give off warm or cool light.

I also strongly recommend testing your paint choices to get a sense of how they will work with the light in the room and your furnishings over the course of both day and night (and your lighting) before committing to color.

It's a made-up adjective in the style of the Italian language, a compound of the actual word "componente" (meaning component) and the plural suffix "-ibili" (like English "-ible" or "-able"). I would translate it as a noun, "combinables."

In an L-shaped run, like you are proposing, what will be in the space in the corner of the L? Will it be usable storage space? How accessible will it be?

I think you need to decide what sort of storage you need before you can decide what will be your best solution for the space. With basic carpentry skills, some research and careful planning, I'd bet you will be able to design and construct something that better suits your wardrobe needs than even the low-end PAX wardrobes, and that looks more like it was intended to fit the space.

Do you need to be able to easily access everything all the time, or can you put some garments in boxes behind others and seasonally rotate what is in front? You have a space that is deep enough to allow such a seasonal approach to storage, but the PAX system doesn't seem designed to take the best advantage of the depth of that corner.

Butcher block doesn't have to be made of maple or other blond wood. It could be made with a darker wood, or a mix of light and dark. Not so readily available and probably more expensive.

Butcher block can be treated with food-safe oils and waxes to keep it looking nice – though the water that tends to congregate around a sink cut-out will be something a hazard. If you're worried about food-safety even from beeswax etc., you could also have one area of unsealed butcher block installed where you do food prep and plan not to care about cuts and scratches there -- ideally the piece of wood in that area would be removable so could be cleaned with running water. And it could be easily replaced if it got too worn for your aesthetic sense, without having to re-install the entire counter.
