Where did you get your flooring for such a low price? I'm not seeing a link and would love to use a similar floor in our home.

I would try the sunshine first since it's free but if it still stinks I would try natures miracle or any of the enzyme based cleaning products out there.

My vote is to keep the natural wood.
I would probably not keep them together however - but that base looks amazing on its own. Great as a credenza/buffet for the dinning room or even to put your tv on in the living room.

Could you put the couch on the window wall? - I can't read the dimensions of the room and I don't know which way the l of your couch goes, but it seems like that could work - then put the tv on the small wall on the opposite side of the room. Then maybe float a couple of chairs on the wall next to the fire place larch area rug in the middle - lots of play space for the wee one.

I think you should keep it for at least a year - see what living with it feels like- if you find you hate even walking into the room because of it - well then it needs to go or at least be altered so you don't notice it so much.
I kind of like it personally - it adds some crazy charm and a punch of color.

I understand the impulse to improve the site but I've always read AT on my ipad and I'm not sure this feels like an improvement. The house tour pop up is not working as well for me now as it did before. But I totally understand all things web are a constant work in progress and will have a few bugs that can be improved on.
