They're doing this in Yakima?! Consider me impressed. I love the bathroom.

You could mount it on the wall and use it was a mail sorter or magazine holder.

I bought my first house 6 months ago but I haven't had a formal housewarming party and I don't think I will. I've had a few parties so most of my close relatives and friends have already been over. I don't feel the need to invite people I don't really speak to my house. I did have one friend ask if I was going to register somewhere for my housewarming and I was really surprised. I didn't know that was a thing.

Friends! Since we left just the big stuff for our friends, it went really fast and they definitely appreciated it.

Very cute place! I love the wallpaper in the bathroom. I also started buying tulips every week. They're only $5 bucks at the grocery store by my house and the add a nice touch.

I just purchased on blackout curtain panels from JC Penny's last month. They work so well I have a hard time getting up for work during the week!

White will work with almost anything! I purchased a new SS fridge right after moving into my new house. It looks great until you touch it and then it's smudge city. After a few weeks of constantly cleaning the fridge, I learned to live with the little imperfections.

Love the subway tile idea. Maybe with gray grout to match the countertops.

I'm currently working on #1 and #4 right now. My vanity isn't very roomy so I've been purging as much useless stuff as I can. I've found other places to store the items I will want to keep but I can just grab those when I need them. I also made a trip to the new Container Store this weekend and got a new acrylic caddy for all of my hair tools. I was able to re-purpose 2 baskets in other locations!

Those are pretty cool. I would probably paint the sides white but leave the fronts as is. I like the 2 tone thing folks are doing. I'd keep the hardware but spray paint it a different color.

I'd paint the walls a neutral color (greige ftw!), replace the light fixture, replace the window treatment(s) and get new hardware for the cabinets. Good luck!

Love it! I've developed quite the obsession with Subway tile over the past year or so (I even have a dedicated Pinterest board for it). While it's become very popular as of late, it's been around so long that it's classic as well as trendy. Great choice!

I keep all of my nail polishes in a clear shoe box under my bed. I've been thinking about getting smaller plastic boxes so I can organize them by color. I also keep my makeup in a clear acrylic box with 3 drawers. That may work well too for the polishes.

I ran to Ikea last night and got the last high gloss white Expedit in the store. They still had a lot of the other colors available. I'm looking forward to see the new Kallax in person.

I cook and clean more than my fiance but we pretty much split grocery shopping. For us, it comes down to who has the urge to clean first. I'm more of a daily cleaner with extra cleaning on the weekends. He cleans about once a month. He's pretty tidy (puts dirty clothes away, washes dishes or puts them in the dishwasher every other day) but he doesn't clean anything else regularly. He washes clothes maybe once per month. He cleans the bathroom once every couple of months. Now that we're moving into our own home (from an apartment), I plan on taking on most of the cleaning duties. I would like assistance but I know that my standards are different than his so I gotta do what I gotta do.
