Gorgeous apartment! All the furniture is perfect for the space and I love the paint colors.

Did I miss the source for the metal and glass shelving unit in the living room? I love it!

What a great space! I love it all, and I especially love that stool with the plant on it! (And I agree with Sonje-no need to apologize for the Ikea! The Ikea hate here gets OLD.) Your house is fantastic!

And give Velcro a pet for me...what a sweet girl!

Add me to the list of people saying not to paint them. I'm not one of the NEVER PAINT WOOD purists, but those look great as-is.

The seat doesn't even bother me, but if you want to do something to them, redo that. I liked the idea of yellow chevron fabric that someone posted earlier.

The comments on this site are reliably harsh...makes me scared to ever submit anything myself!

That said, I like the changes a lot! I did immediately wonder why there was no overhang at the bar, but otherwise everything looks great! The floors are beautiful and the butcher block is great.

Okay am I missing something? That wood was not beautiful!

I love the transformation and the fact that you did it all yourself (with stuff from ReStore!) makes it even more impresive!

Wow, it's my dream house! You're making me want to move to OK right now! I love all the colors, the furniture, rugs, EVERYTHING. It's impressive how cozy it looks when it's so HUGE!

As for how to get rid of those adorable kids, have you considered giving them broken glass to play with instead of toys?

Wow-I love it all! I actually really like the neutral walls as a backdrop for all the bright toys! I have a mini collection of vinyl and I love how you have yours displayed! Taking notes...

Love it all!

That rug from eBay that's in the living room is killer...does anyone know what style of rug that is?

I used to live in an area filled with row houses from the 1800s and early 1900s. Almost all of those homes have painted wood trim and it doesn't affect the value at all. Unless your house is a Craftsman that is supposed to have a ton of wood, I'd paint it.

You have to live there so you may as well enjoy it. Plus I doubt crisp white trim is going to turn off many future home buyers.

Much more cohesive and the paint job looks really well done! And I'm glad the bricks are on the way out! What are you going to replace them with?

Hmmm...that seems a little complicated to DIY. Someone made a DIY chevron rug a while ago that would give a similar effect, though. http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/sf/diy-chevron-rug-highheeled-foot-in-the-door-121199

Or you could do the Ikea black and white striped rug if the colors are really what you're going for. The 5x8 is $179: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80104862

Closer to the pattern of the West Elm but grey and beige :

Wow-that's quite the transformation-it looks fantastic! And I have to ask about those 3 pendant lights-where did you get those? I love them!
