Cleaning is always an issue, even when you're not just roommates. A recent ex never cleaned anything, save for the occasional load of dishes. It wasn't until after he'd moved out that his friends informed me how horrible it had been for them to live with him.

If there's one thing I recommend it's doing something in your home that your ex wouldn't allow. My ex never let me paint the bathroom chocolate brown, so after he moved out last month I painted immediately. I've gotten so many compliments since, and even though I am moving in three months and will need to paint it back, it was a wonderfully therapeutic experience and made the place feel "mine".

This post seems relevant to so many readers. Glad we can commiserate.

I'm a little disappointed that a single Plumen lightbulb is actually retail cost ($29.95)--I was hoping to pick up a few at some sort of discount. I suppose the people at Fab feel like it's a deal simply to be offering something that's nearly impossible to get in America?

Wow. This is not the Lladro I grew up with (and subsequently gave away when we moved).

I wasn't love in with this (have to agree with the "decorating a little forced" comment), but the Karl Lagerfeld doll totally won me over.

That first picture is making twitch. Are my eyes deceiving me, or is that a Herman Miller chair used as a table centerpiece?
