Wow. I agree with all the comments above. Your home is gorgeous, yet so down home - in the same way that seeing someone gorgeous on the street is so much more inspiring than any airbrushed model.

I'm seriously addicted to AT and read it avidly whenever I can.

That having been said, I was super excited when I came back after a long hiatus to have see that The Cure was starting in a week! I couldn't wait...

* * * Flashback * * *
My husband and I (then fiancée) moved into our current apartment over a year ago. We had been living in a small (350 ) square foot duplex, and aching to stretch our legs. To save our sanity (we kept bumping into each other in the AM), we moved into a larger space despite the fact we did not want to "expand" our stuff to fill the larger space.

More than a year later, we're at the new place but haven't decluttered enough so that I post to AT's Small Cool. Luckily, we're still under 1000 sq. ft...but every time we get to the point where it looks really cohesive, it goes back to looking like a train wreck within a week or two.

In conclusion, we simply have too much stuff to keep it neat at all times. Both of us take turns being "warm" people, who like to craft and repurpose items so we constantly tell ourselves to stop adopting strays. I'm already well into Week 1-2 (though it took me until today to post a picture) so I'm hoping that we'll be right where we need to be at the end of the 8 weeks!

My hubby wanted to foil the lamps...I finally convinced him to wear a sleep mask until we could find a dark enough curtain. You'd be surprised how many of them look dark but don't block more than 20% of the light.
We use these in conjunction with the light shade the apartment gave us, leaving a crack. This blocks more of the light, but satisfies my need for sun in the morning.
Sources: West Elm, Z-Gallery, Target (blackout layer to use with other curtains).

Thought I was imagining things but both the folding doors and the kitchen are so Japanese. It's very nostalgic of my little kitchen while I was living overseas, nothing overtly "Japanesey" about it but so reminiscent of the philosophy of small and detailed.

Nice job ccs. Here in SF you can hit up Jeremy's for some stuff. Mostly clothing but I scored a wrought iron multiply hook dingus for a couple bucks.

Art, It's relatively cheap, I think 10-20 bucks at Bed, Bath and Beyond. First saw it in a hotel in Japan. Genius unless you have tiles..then difficult to install.

Yeah, some sort of removable cartridge would be helpful to see in this design. Also maybe a separate piece to guarantee the flowers? So it would seem a part of the faucet but yet apart?

Headed over yesterday (2/1) and it's the same story in Albany, CA. Regular Target (albeit 2-stories), single endcap display with storage items only. Managed two storage boxes, v. nice quality and no icky smells unlike some of their other stuff.

One thing to try is to get a floating team member to scan for you. Usually the designer stuff is in one area but from the single display out so far, it looks like they will be spread throughout the store. Use the search term "Orly" as her full name does not come up. It's the quickest way I've found to see if anything new has come in.

Ikea has new chair/dining room set that's pretty compact. Not sure what the name is, but it's a set of curved L shapes around a rounded-off square table.
