Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but how did you attach the pom pons to the ceiling? Did you use fishing line, and hammer that into the wall? I would be fearful that push pins or similar would fall out into baby's crib! they are up with clear push pins. i knew leighton wouldn't be sleeping in her crib for the first three months or so which was a great test period to see if they would hold or fall out. so far so good. i don't think they'll ever come loose as they seem to be anchored in the ceiling pretty tightly! ellesbelles - the chair is actually a recliner that we had in our previous office space (which i did not care for at all!). i didn't want to purchase a new chair, so instead i bought a slipcover for it which totally transformed it! abby1116 - yes, i did the paint treatment myself. i found using a foam sponge brush i was able to get the scallops that i wanted. granted, it took a couple of times to get the coverage i wanted, but was a lot easier than using a traditional paint brush! thanks so much for all of the compliments - and no, no baby yet! ;) thanks carableu for posting the book sling tutorial - i bookmarked it as soon as i saw it earlier this year and it worked perfect for the space. the only problem is that those curtain brackets were difficult to find, but i was really happy with the result. k8theriver - the rug is from target.com from their seventeen line. go figure!
