As a designer myself I understand that there's a fine line between paying homage to and ripping off. I appreciate being able to detect influences in the design of a piece of furniture the same way I do in the music that I listen to. There's a lineage that tells a story in itself while allowing the designer and makers personality show through.

What's so wonderful about BDDW's furniture it's so thoughtful and the craftsmanship just can't be matched. Of all the blatant knock offs I seen of BDDW, none come close to doing them justice.

I hope that TerraFab will rethink this piece and try to allow some personality to develop.

You can look at it a different way, Quality furniture can last generations. (As an admirer and a furniture maker, I can attest to BDDW's quality and craftsmanship.) Will your car last generations? This is an investment. You spend a third of your life in bed, why not be inspired in it?
