I am a committed museum educator and have given many memberships (which I suspect aren't much understood or appreciated by young children). Last year I gave a family with 13-, 11-, and 7-year olds a skeleton and it was both a big surprise and a big hit. It was about 3/4-sized adult skeleton and one recommended for med students. They had to put it together and learned some bone names in the process. When I spoke to them on Christmas night, they hadn't yet decided on its name (ultimately "Dangles"). I think it will get many years of use for fun and learning. (I warned their father that it was coming.)
