500 sq feet is still large. Most studios are 300 and under. This is a consistent complaint with this wonderful site. The small space thread is constantly full of large space designs and solutions. I want to see real life renderings of small spaces, where you get a barbie sized stove/refridgerator/sink, with no xtra counterspace, 5 feet from your living space that can fit a bed, desk and maybe a chair in the awkward and non thought out window/door/electrical outlet designs that the majority of the renting populace has to deal with!

Lovely, but why is this in the small spaces section? 560 SQ feet is NOT small. It is double what the average studio apartment is. I love this site, but time to stop mis-categorizing the articles. It's so frustrating to look for design ideas for small and horribly laid out apartments (which are the norm) and to constantly find articles like this one in the "small spaces" - as beautiful as it may be.
