You should have a gallery section showing off all the home "offices". However I would not do any work on that little laptop. So "office" is a strong word. What's wrong with desctop computers these days? I like the previous commenteer noticing cliches in the "home office" pictures!

Only one kid, that is.

I think it's hard to think this way as my parents have unlimited space on their farm, and we've allways stocked up on everything.

Not for me then, I'm short as it is! I don't care much for this design, but I like the idea of changing the way people sit and the likes, to improve posture. The future will bring great stuff i'm sure :)

If you have people below you the sollution is simple and you said it yourself, layered carpets/rugs. However you can take this one all out and buy asphalt-sounddampening materials or just heavy sounddampening inlays for cars etc. Very easy and cheap with great results. Most rooms can easily loose 5cm of height.

I have tried this "wall to wall" curtains, and I must say it did not help much. Maybe two layers will help, atleast if theres a window there you might want to have open most of the time. Buy the tickest curtains you can find, and have them go all the way from the ceiling to the floor.

Positioning of your bed might make a difference, If you have that choise atleast. Sleep with your head in the end of the bed most covered from the rest of the room. Behind your wardrobe for instance.

At last: Talk with your neighbour. Dampening both sides of the wall will double the effect, and you can be noisy aswell :) Another tip is to position loudspeakers away from neighbours. Have his speakers facing away from your room aswell, or try out different setups for best effect.

There's lots of stuff you can do other than turning off the heat to save money. Eat cheap food and empty your freezer, Don't buy clotes, sell everything you've had lying around useless. Do more work <-this is the best way to get more money I think. Just don't have a life for a month and just work work work. You'll double your income, and at the same time won't need to spend for drinks and stuff on girls night out. Buy cheap beer and arrange a home party. People will bring beverages that you can recycle for money (if you have recycling on bottles in your country).

I used to bring my wallet and my cell. Now I just pack my VISA and my cell. Less clutter :P

Drivers lisence is in my car with the rest of my stuff though.

I made a composition of my favourite stuff aswell, but the final picture did not become pretty enough to justify sending it in for publishing :P Problem is, my stuff all has different colors, pink phone, grey phone, black mouse, white controllers, green, pink and black knives, brown sunglasses. Not the kind of colors that goes well together. In the end I kept the best image but will not be sending it in.

Such waste considering the cartridge and the container it's wrapt in is mostly indestructible to normal handling.

Is that a air-to-air AC? Well it's difficult then. Sollution would be to coil op the cord in a nice way, organized stuff allways looks better. And maybe stretch the cord to be totally straight along the corner of the wall. Buying longer cords sometimes helps routing the cables to other places. As you're renting, I wouldn't care much though, as you're out of there in a few years :)

I have fully wired setups that looks cleaner and better compiled than this. Even my sisters desk is cleaner and less cluttered.

I do like the ligtning as decoration, looks nice. However it's not enough to get some work or gaming done. Eye strain within 10 minutes ! I also like how things move between shots, as if no thought whatsoever was put in this photoshoot!

I almost forgot to mention the nice wires on the wall. You made a trip to IKEA to get spotlights, but didn't care enough to de-route the wires? That was the whole reason I figured I should give a comment.

Criticism is my topmost hobby btw, take it like a man :)

I wish they would supply the door-shelves for our fridge. We had like 5 shelves but they have all fell of due to the cheap plastic. So now we have a totally naked inside of a door with only the bottom shelve hanging on barely. The store don't even sell that model anymore, and it's like 5 years old.

If you need a bigger screen then go right ahead. If its just for the aestetics I wouldn't recomend it. People with ordinary need get by just fine with what they have, and when the need finally comes, the market have matured and bigger and cheaper monitors are available.

I am currently waiting for a proper LED-LCD gaming monitor, but with no luck yet. They just don't have that focus I guess. LCD with 2ms is fine right now, but I won't go back a notch in response time just to get those LEDs :P Theres like one or two monitors available with 2 ms, but I was kinda hoping they had atleast 100 hz too, but no luck. Total stagnation in that area, Probably have to buy a TV just to get 100hz and LED :/

As for Oled... Tv's are extremely good as it is, and as you say, very thin. So buying a TV now will look epic high-tech, and won't age like flowers in a vase like some people think. OLED won't bring any new to the market for years, sure, thin monitors with equal or better color, but extremely high price for like 5 years from now, maybee longer, if Samsung and others can't keep up the production.

Oooh it's a corner! And it has shelves with stuff in them! Why didn't I think of that. Oh wait, I did when I was 12. Right next to the oven/cooktop is a disaster, atleast put up a wall. More things wrong: No legroom underneath the table, sitting with the back to the room staring at a corner= fail, office-chair designed for leaning back not working in this setup as theres no legroom. I guess this has to do when you don't have anywhere else to do it, but I would have put up a wall between the oven and the officecorner.

I do however like the lamp!

How an amazingly painful seating configuration. probably works if you have no legs. A 40cm table strapped to the wall is supposed to be the future or what? I Have to have the possibillity to stretch my legs while I use my comp. No go for this arrangement, great work designer, you probably only have a mac for show, and don't really pay attention to human ergonomics.

No windows either. Ok that peekhole, but who cares about that. Reality is you have to stare at that white inside of an bowl for your entire day. Btw, why do you have to have a designated office? just work wherever your pc is. and have some stealth shelves/storage to hide away ugly paperwork.
