If You Simply Must Work from Bed:
5 Comfortable Solutions

Some people are just so mean and it makes me so sad. If you don't have anything nice to say it might just be better to say nothing at all. Thumper had a good lesson.....

I think that it looks lovely and like a home that people live in. I do like show homes and but I like real ones also and it is nice to see a home where people very clearly care about their family as a whole. Pictures like that wouldn't never appear in a home that didn't.

I did a pillowcase as a child so I think something like that or a duvet cover for a kids bedroom would be kind of cute, but, unless the furniture was on the way to the curb no way!

So I don't understand something. I see quite a few people saying that they don't send invitations via postal mail because they don't have the addresses. So how in the world are you sending thank you cards? Regardless of how invitations play out, a thank you will never go out of style...

I just made a salad the other night that I was thinking would be a good option for my husband and I some T-day. I roasted butternut, brussels sprouts and cauliflower. I tossed that with a bit of a rice blend, added pistachios and dried cranberries and tossed with a balsamic dressing. Can be made in advance and eaten at room temp. change it up a bit and do something more interesting for the dressing. A bunch of fall flavors in a small package though.

Do some stuffing/dressing in a crockpot, a bit of mashed potato and whatever main you prefer and that would cover some of the basics without being overwhelming.

It's all me. Everyone that stops by loves our home. When I walked into the house my husband owned before meeting me the living room walls were red with purple sponge paint over them. Considering that he won't shop for home decor, paint, put anything together, clean up, etc. having a say isn't so much of an option. He used to flip out at first and now he just sort of goes with the flow. The person doing most of the work should indeed have most of the say.

This seems to be a waste of space for me personally. There is so much that is open and empty but not in the right ways. i am not saying that every nook and cranny needs to be filled with something, but, there is just so much space that isn't being used for anything and it's not a huge space to begin with.

I certainly have plans for doing this on my end. Been thinking about something like this for a while. It's also really nice to have a party where all the leftovers are freezable so you don't even have to worry about over estimating the amounts to make.

Why a canning jar? Because they are strong and durable due to their makeup for canning use. they have a thicker glass making it possible for it to be jostled around a bit without breaking. It can be reheated and reused over and over and take the abuse that a standard jar just can't. I use the glass freezer jars personally and have never had a casualty.

Depends on what it is for but I tend to seed tomatoes sometimes like for salads. Sometimes they are unfortunately just to watery and it can make certain dishes watered town and less taste. I don't dislike the seeds though, just certain applications.

I have been wanting one of the Epicurean cutters for some time now because they don't push your toppings off - and the toppings can't run out of the way fast enough =-)

i won't get rid of my cutter though since it it a useful tool for many things. Small enough that it can get away with staying.

My mom is one that it must be her way. I hated every Christmas when it came to tree decorating. I was not allowed to help with the tree because I was told that I wouldn't make the tree look pretty. As a tiny child I was allowed to stick a few ornaments on the tree - in the back of the tree where no one would "have to see them". They were the ones that I had made in school or that had been given to me as a baby. My mother didn't want anyone to see them. When I was just in grade school my grandparents gave me their old little artificial tree. My mother gave me ornaments that she didn't want, because they were ugly, and the things that I had made/were given me and sent me down to the basement each year and made me decorate this tree. I was upset and embarrassed each year. I don't have kids but if I did my mothers idea that everything must be perfect would be to hard for me to break and I am not sure that I could let them help. I am really glad that I don't have kids to pass these horrible things down to.

I would really consider hiring a designer if you are painting the same room over and over. I'm sure with their experience they could help and it would be worth the money. It won't cost you much either.

I feel this article has some truth to it. Friend nicknamed me Martha Stewart a long time ago and it hurts me because I feel like I need to live up to the image, but I really can't. I want nothing more than for my home to look perfect which isn't easy to achieve. We hope to sell out home in the near future and I hope that it will be a starting point for something much better and happier for me in a new setting

What about asking your landlord if the glass couple be replaced with frosted glass? Call up a couple of places and mention what you need and see what the cost might be. The landlord might be all for it if you explain what is going on.

You aren't paranoid. I have that some door type and there are some windows on my porch nearby the door so that people can see into my home if they really want to. When people come that I am not expecting I have literally hid behind the door so that no one can see me. Why anyone would think it was okay to peer through that top window I don't know but it sure is frustrating isn't it! Good luck!

DD Lizzy, that guideline doesn't apply to things like veggies. Also if the food it completely cooked through such as in soup it is fine. You just can't thaw things out and then refreeze without cooking fully.

Tip one works well for me because weather the soup is fresh, or being reheated from whatever state adding a little cream after reheating helps get it to a temp you can actually eat it at!

I will be making some soup soon. I just lost everything in my freezer last night due to the door getting caught and not closing all the way. Everything in there was melted and had to go. So sad!
