I had the opposite experience. I've always gotten dust stuck during the wet process, probably during the hold up and spray step. While with the dry mount, I could just lay down the protective film directly onto the screen without gathering any additional dust floating in the air. I'll be doing another wet application for another device today or tomorrow, so I'll be able to compare and contrast again... Wrapsol Dry Ultra Screen Protector for iPad Daily Tech Find |

CALVINNBs: Thanks for the catch...an honest mistake while in Photoshop on my end. I just prefer 1080p so much I typed in the "p" instead of "i". Corrected. Why You Should Use 720p Resolution Over 1080i |

I've had my eyes on the Hario Slow Drip Coffee Maker for a long while now. And don't get me started on espresso machines. Fortunately, where my eyes travel, my wallet has yet to follow. 10 Luxurious, Extravagant Kitchen Splurges Gifts for Food-Lovers & Cooks |

@SAYS: your point about the power button is a very valid one and one I forgot to include in my review (I missed it in my "cons" notes). The first week I kept hitting the button and putting the device to sleep; I've since trained myself to remember to hold it the "right way" in a manner Antenna-gate victims might sympathize with :) Pushing the Limits With the Gigantic Samsung Galaxy Note Tech Test Lab |

@SUNSPOT42 I thought the same thing going in before doing this review, since I got a sneak peak back at CES and considered it unwieldy after a few minutes of use; it's definitely on the border of being too big. Yet I've been able to take it everywhere and use it without once dropping the device (and I have average sized hands, no bear paws here). I've gotten strangely used to the screen size. @Funstraw: I believe you're referring to the domestic release (Feb 2012). Samsung had begun selling the Note in Europe, East Asia, and India a couple months prior to the US February release (just after its IFA 2011 in Berlin unveil), so they go a head start on the numbers and the 6 million figure above reflects the worldwide total. Impressive either way. Pushing the Limits With the Gigantic Samsung Galaxy Note Tech Test Lab |

@Copelli21 I can totally recognize not all moms would want a tech-related device for mother's day. Often, a bouquet of flowers, a home cooked meal for her, or just quality time spent together would trump any of these things. But even my older Korean mom has inquired about smartphones, tablets and other tech devices as gift ideas, so it can't be really all that strange to imagine some (many) moms out there would indeed be interested in "techie stuff". Riddles: My thought is I'd much prefer the case cracking if the device inside remains intact after being dropped. But I can understand being upset being left with a non-usable case as a minus. I think I've only dropped my iPad once from about waist high (while inside an Incase protective case), but hope I don't repeat the gaffe ever again. DODOcase Spring Summer iPad Case Tech Test Lab |

SAYS: I've got the Samsung Galaxy Note right now for review and it's surprisingly impressive despite the baggage pre-ICS Android brings with it. It's undeniably huge, but I've been carrying it around as my primary phone for the last week and it's been a sleeper of a winner overall. It could be because I'm used to larger devices, coming from a HTC Titan. There are a lot of quirks, but you would probably expect it carrying such a large device. Review coming soon. ELLISB: I didn't use GeekTool, but maybe I should have considering the customization options. I just turned the dock off, bumped up the icon preview size to maximum and snapped them to grid, and set the hard drive icon to "off" in the view options. Not so geeky, but effective.
