Caterina's Touch of Mediterranean Turin Kitchen
How many people live in home:One and a half: me and my kitty Fuli!
What makes your small kitchen so cool?
The warm and simple atmosphere, with something âretroâ and a touch of the Mediterranean sun.
One challenge you overcame in your small kitchen, or a good resource you've found.
The biggest challenge was to renovate the kitchen considering in the same time the low budget (700 euro), the triangular shape and the tiny space: my friend Fabio (architect, artisan and artist too) designed the project and made by himself the furnitures. We used the longer side for the furnitures, the stove and the Ikea shelves, the diagonal side for the table (an old one from a flea market) and the short one for the fridge plus an old nightstand to put cups, mugs, ecc. The shelves on the wall save space and allow me to have all in sight to cook. To brighten up the walls, Fabio and I chose a brilliant yellow. To see more works by Fabio, try to find on the Net the small company he runs, called Officina Meravigli.
Favorite Meal to Cook in Kitchen
All the Italian deli, of course! Most of my recipes are from Piedmont, the region I live: I can mention tajarin and ravioli as pasta, roasted peppers with olive oil and anchovies as starter, bonet with Gianduia chocolate as cake: the list is long! Cooking is for me a heartwarming way to love people: come and taste, you are invited!
