500What I Love About My Home
My 1910 building has tons of character! I love the tall ceilings, exposed brick wall, and original porcelain claw foot tub and sinks. The southern exposure windows let tons of light in, even in dreary Seattle winters. My apartment is full of bright, cheery colors and plenty of art and personal accessories that have great memories attached. I like living in a small space because you have to limit the amount of things you accrue and be creative about storage and furniture arrangements. I feel happy in my apartment and guests always love it too!
Biggest Challenge in Furnishing My Home
Unfortunately Iâm not allowed to paint my walls, which would add lots of color, so instead I let the white walls be a backdrop for my colorful items. Some of the rooms are spacious but donât have much usable space -- I only have about 2 sq ft of work surface in the kitchen! The entry room is large but canât really be used for anything so I keep it clear to use as a dance floor. Storage is lacking and I sometimes feel overwhelmed by clutter. Keeping the space as clean and tidy as possible helps it to feel more spacious.

Nice editing! Your skinny bookshelf is perfect. Where did you get it?
