What I Love About My Home


We love the flow of our long and narrow floor plan in our Small Cool home flows. The stretching of our 594 sq ft living space leaves one side almost completely constructed with floor to ceiling windows and gave us the opportunity to direct the focus towards the fantastic views and design the interior to really incorporate the natural light.

Biggest Challenge in Furnishing My Home


The biggest challenge came from our transition from a pre-war building in DC where our interior was more of an eclectic traditional mix rather than the contemporary interior we live in now. We ended up starting from scratch which ended up being the best way to go given the layout of our unit. We ditched the old brown dusty furniture for furnishings that are more refreshing and clean.

A nice mix of furniture and wall hangings. I suggest, as a way to make it visually feel finished, coherent, and inviting would be to invest in curtains, for both the bedroom and the living room. But ones that keep all that wonderful light coming in.

Ah! We are kindred spirits, Kyle! I did the same thing with the fruit bowl but spray painted it yellow.

@digger61 we actually have sunshades (thank god because we face east) that completely cover the windows but i don't think you can see them rolled up in the pictures.

I love this apt. It is so comforting and cosey yet it still maintains a modern decor. My favorite part is the art work. From one gay man to another you have talent. And so cute too.
