What I Love About My Home


The character of a 1929 building (high ceilings, large windows, wood floors, molding, etc... ) that perfectly showcases all the furnishings and things that define our style. Having an entryway and a separate kitchen and dining room makes our place feel like it's more than a studio. Plus, we have a little balcony for potted plants. Our place is comfortable, welcoming, and definitely us.

Biggest Challenge in Furnishing My Home


Besides the addition of one chair, we already owned every piece of furniture before moving into this apartment. The challenge was to not get rid of anything as most of the furnishings are sentimental or just too good to give up. I think we came up with a great floor plan to have everything work visually and functionally together. The best thing we did was build-in the bookshelves ourselves—it was a great addition to the space.
