What I Love About My Home

I love how open and bright it is. My wife and I love hosting our friends and family for parties and dinner. We think our orange (Dragons Breath) fireplace is the best, it's original, an attention- getter, and is always complimented on when people come over (It also makes a great focal point with the TV mounted above the fireplace.) The "groovy" round domed skylight in the master bedroom is fun to look up at when laying in bed also.

Biggest Challenge in Furnishing My Home

We basically had to start from scratch when we bought the condo. The walls were painted "dirty contractor's white" at best, the bathrooms needed major cleaning and re-doing and the kitchen was in much need of a makeover. We also took down an island/peninsula that separated the dining and living areas (since removing it has opened up the space greatly).

The bed frame is Ikea Malm. The beech color is not out of production, though.

And there is an error in the posting. The condo is located in Providence, Rhode Island. Working on getting it fixed.

What color is that on your living room wall? ( not the orange ) I love it.

I absolutely adore your dining room - there's not one thing in that picture I would change!
Living room is really nice as well, and the frosted glass in the kitchen cabinets makes a good "split-the-difference" between open shelving and solid doors.

I think it's great, although it might be a bit too heavy on black furniture.

Does anyone know who makes the bed frame in the Master BR?

Are those built-ins in the dining room? If not, where did you get them.

I love, love, LOVE this space!! It is the perfect combination of dark pieces, yet not overly masculine. My husband and I could both exist in this space and be happy. He fell in love with the TV. I fell in love with the dining room. I love black with chrome accents and the flowers are great. This is one of my favorite spaces thus far, and one of the only ones that looks comfortable and not overdecordated... something a man and woman could call home together.

Looks like a great place to entertain; continuous floor space, good flow, ample seating, and fantastic kitchen! And I love the way you carried the 'Dragons Breath' orange from the fireplace into the dining room by painting the inside of the bookshelves. You certainly have a beautiful space to call home.

Love, love everything about your space. BUT, you need to use that kitchen...I can do some damage in there with some delicious meal.

999 square feet exactly? With full dining room and outdoor space? Yeah right. The style is alright, but I'm not voting for this.

Orange & gray color combo in the living area looks great. I like movie reels hanging on the wall....great touch of whimsy.

The great colors and smart lighting make your place cozy despite the nice, wide open spaces. I'd like to come over for Thanksgiving dinner!

well done, but a little too reminiscent of ikea showrooms. i actually love walking ikea showrooms, but i'd like the home to give a sense of who the dwellers are. more personal touches like the film reels (totally dig those) would really liven up the place
