What I Love About My Home

The way it truly feels like a home. I live in a new condo building; the units are white boxes with very modern appliances and can seem very cold an uninviting. Through my use of comfortable furniture, paint on the walls, and a clever breaking up the living space, I have been able to make this "box" seem like a warm, welcoming and inviting home.

Biggest Challenge in Furnishing My Home

Storage. Because there is such little storage in a studio and because everything is exposed, I had to be really creative with my furniture. Every element, well almost every, needs to have a storage component, in addition to, being pleasing to the eye and having it's own functionality.

WOW! It's almost hard to believe this is a studio because of the spacious feel and bright, cheery aesthetic with so many distinct areas.

I love it, especially the kitchen. Something about the navy paint and the bronze-toned counter really speak to me. Good luck!

nice...are the couches vintage? Where did you get them? LOVE.

Hi prettyhandsomeproject, the sofas are from the Corona collection at Macy's. Not vintage at all, and very well priced and comfortable! They are apartment sized, so they are perfect for small spaces.

Thank you all for the positive feedback!!!

Just lovely! I love your use of color. It's very bold, without being overwhelming. It creates a "feel" for the space, without being the focal point itself.

I love the purple tufted headboard, the large window, and the kitchen. Oh, the kitchen.

Well done. :-)

Wow...this is just the kitchen I have been waiting for! In the next few years I hope to redefine an unused space in my home as a new, but compact kitchen. This is one of the first small kitchens that embodies style and makes use a compact, streamlined appliances. I would love more pics and details.

Hi Ofelia, I have a 6' x 6' Expedit bookshelf between the alcove and the living space. It was just too hard to show, but if you look in the mirror of the dining area you can see part of it.
