What I Love About My Home

It looks small but feels big. Thats what I like.

Biggest Challenge in Furnishing My Home

Buying the right laptop! Let me explain :) I needed to find a way to have a nice big bed (because I’m lazy and sometimes like to work in bed instead of at my small desk) but without loosing to much space. As a freelance graphic designer long hours in front of my computers is part of the job. So I combined the two, and made a bed-desk. By day my bed became my work desk and at night it magically turns into a bed again. When I wake up the follow day I am already in the office ... problem solved!

I bet this place feels really great on a bright day - white and open.

The Murphy bed is wonderful and I love all the storage but personally, I could never work from a bed. Call me old fashion but I need a desk to work (the dining table work be fine) and real furniture to sit on. The bean bag is cool, but a little to college dorm-ish.

Your home has a feeling of widness and cozyness that I love. The Murphy bed is really cool. And th fact you don't have a couch, makes the space look bigger. I used to have a pouf too, but finally I've bought an inflatable sofa. It's not as comfortable as a real one, but I can deinflate it whenever I need more space. And it's much cheaper!!

I love your studio, very charming, I think you and I would be friends :-)

There was an article in AT once that had an simple acrylic piece that looked like their console/desk piece but it was long enough to fit over the end of a bed, not sure if it had wheels. The owner put it down at the end of the bed at night but could move it over the bed while eating or using her laptop. That would be perfect for you! I think I remember the post saying that cb2 no longer carried the piece. Perhaps you could have a carpenter make one for you?

Who cares about the "bed desk"--what is that bright yellow appliance (?) on the kitchen counter? Whatever it is, I like it.

I don't understand what you mean about the bed desk - there's a desk in the window?

saucefiend, i just wanted to say, that i love to work in my bed:) Most of my researches about next project (i am a graphic designer), or looking for inspirations, or just spending time over the internet, i am doing it IN my bed. Most of the people do this at their desks, so... my bed is also my desk. Just that:)

Kelly, they are just an ordinary laminated floors. I love the natural looks of the parquet flooring, but it is more expensive, also it is harder to keep in good condition, so I decided to use laminated but most similar to natural look...
