What I Love About My Home

I have been in this studio for 3 years now, and I love seeing it evolve. I try to keep it warm and inviting, as well as practical. I rotate the art and am constantly changing things up as my needs change.

Biggest Challenge in Furnishing My Home

My biggest challenge was creating a workspace. I got this huge farm table last summer and it's now my favorite piece. The drawers are massive, holding everything from ink and paper, to make-up, doubling as a vanity.

I wish there were more photos that showed the whole space. It is hard to get an idea of how the layout works with these more vignette style photos. I like what I see though!

Yes, time to put your white dresser out to stud. I adore how you work in so much great artwork.

Wow... it's so spare (and wonderfully so) in such a small space. I love the green portrait!

I'd love to see the kitchen and closet area as well.

Oh, and I love the white dresser, especially in contrast with the other elements!

The dresser is lovely, but that's about the only thing that has character in the place. Hang the art (and I use that term loosely), and add some color; even just a plant would add some interest.

aw come one guys, i'd say based on the fact that she has nothing hung on the walls & that her place is renter's white, she's probably not permitted to hang her art (i use that term respectfully).

also, this place is tiiiiny... i think these "vignettes" *are* the layout- it's that small.

anyway, i think this place is super cute and cozy, well-edited, and i agree with everyone that wants to hump your dresser. nice job, lacey!

I live in a one bedroom flat that is a palace compared to the area that you are living in. But it just shows from looking at your place that square feet has nothing to do with good style. I loved how it was simple, minimal and warm.

I love that you weren't afraid to have some large pieces (the lust-after-able dresser and the farm table) in your tiny place. They really make the space. And you have such great taste in art!

My friend has a very similar white dresser, which she got for free when a neighbor was moving out of her building. I have always loved it and secretly wished it were mine!

i love love love your style - your place looks like a real person lives there! so much character and personality but still simple, budget-friendly (or at least appears to be!) and minimal. I especially heart the table/desk!

How tasteful! I love that there is art at every corner. The big work table is to die for.

Love the dresser & great idea about rotating art!
Great armchair & bed too!
Be careful about ergonomics of your work area - I've reused kitchen table and other non-computer-friendly desks as 'computer area' and don't recommend it! (backache/neckache or problems with shoulder/wrist may develop) if you type/use the mouse a lot, check the ergonomics of it!
Also for sleeping, depends on your windows a bit, generally feng shui (& personal experience) recommends to not have a window but a wall or solid board/furniture behind your head..
Otherwise, lovely flat!
