Charmaine's "Modern Glam" Room

Modern Glam

New Berlin, Wisconsin

Colors Used

Charcoal gray, touches of gold/tan and turquoise. Benjamin Moore Iced cube silver for the walls.

Color Inspiration

Gray and turquoise have always been my favorite color combination. I draw inspiration from blogs and design magazines.

Color Tips

Instead of adding color through walls, why not paint a piece of furniture or two? You have less surface area to repaint if you get tired of it.

the couch looks like the most comfortable things ever and w.o.w. to the chandelier.

Thank you!

NY Muhtari - I got the shelving from Craigslist. They are actually end tables stacked together.

OMG - I cannot live without that couch. That is exactly, precisely what I have been looking for, for years now. Please, please, please tell me you have a source?

What color is that turquoise?! I tried to paint my dining table similarly, but the color was too pale. This is just right.

That built-in breakfront buffet is amazing. I love that it's gray, the turquoise dining table is really fab, and the chairs are so cool. You managed to take a few seriously disparate styles and blend them harmoniously.

Lucky you to live in such a great space, and especially lucky you that you were able to conceptualize it.

Oh my, thanks guys!

Maykigee - I'm sorry, but it is also a craigslist find.
Embryoconcepts - I bought it a local store but it is made by southern furniture (southernfurniture.net). I love it so much I got two!
Kelleyk - It is Martha Stewart Lagoon

would also love to know if you have any favorite design resources in WI!!! We moved to Mt. Pleasant, just south of milwaukee and I don't know where to shop for home purchases aside from regular dept. stores!

Erin, we too moved from the east coast 3 years ago. If you like antiques/vintage stuff, check out Antiques on Second and Blackhawk antiques. I also like Home Market in the third ward.
