Brian's "Paris Rain" Room
Paris Rain

Benjamin Moore Sidewalk Grey, Pigeon Grey, and Big Country Blue
Color Inspiration
The grey coolness of wet sidewalks, the bark of the massive tree outside my window and a beautiful blue velvet banquette I saw in restaurant in Paris!
Color Tips
play with mixing neutrals and one pop of color, put them in unexpected places and always tie your accent color in with accessories like books, fabrics etc

I absolutely love what I can see, but I wish there was a photo that captured more of the room.

In the third picture, is that a bi-fold closet door? Did you paint it like that or did it come that way? It looks interesting.

I'm sensing a house tour...

agree it looks great but you can only see little details not the whole room- ??

OK, I love your place but I can't favorite you because we are in competition. The funny thing is that I used BM Pigeon gray in my front hall and then used Sidewalk gray and painted stripes exactly like yours throughout my entire living room and I love it. Too funny.

Beautiful individual pieces, but want to see what the room looks like as a whole.

Agree with all of the above--where are the wide shots here?

I love this room! Colors are awesome. I happen to LOVE Paris and travel there often; I think you were very successful in capturing the essence of Paris on a rainy day. Tres bien fait mon ami!

Nice details, where's the room? Too bad, looks like it could have been a favorite.

I will try to add another photo in here but a few things changed since those photos( the flowers are dead;)it's not a big room so won't be much of a wide shot!

I'm sure the room is lovely, but just can;t bring myself to hit the favorite button because I just see close up shots, and 3 out of 5 are of the flowers.

I added a wide shot to my FB page- hope you all can see it..... I dont think Apartment Therapy will let me change my photos on this forum.... let me know if you cant view it...

I agress with bmorrow86. I can't really vote for this because I feel like I need to see more of the actual space and less of the flower arrangement. Pretty colors though.

Ya, that was I "agree" not I "agress" ;)

Ok folks check the FB page wide shot no flowers......

People are silly. The five pictures show enough for you to know whether you like his use of color (which is admirable). I am impressed by how all the items filling the room seem to exude quality. It's nice to have visited a room that's not crammed with cheap junk.

i think these are some lovely shots that indicate a sophisticated use of colour and a beautifully styled room. however, i would also like to have seen some wider shots... for my part, i think the entrant's selection of the pics that best display their room is part and parcel of the competition and voting should be based on the photos presented here, not on facebook or anywhere else. otherwise, where is the parity?

Ya thanks for that....

Ohhhh i checked out the FB pictures (okay the whole album), my Lord you are a very talented man! Vancouver is so far away from Toronto..sigh. You get my vote!

Looks very nice, but am not getting a feel for the place from these little pics.

I just visited your facebook photo and wow - that pic should have been in the contest. Even better than the close up shots.

If I could re submit photos I would but I'm sure AT won't allow that, well lesson learned... It's all for fun anyway right!!!
view bgball's profile
yes, but these are still nice photos that show the colours of the room and you still got my vote (on the basis of the pics here; you've seen my comment above)! :0)
