Dark mineral gray/blue, dusty green, with splashes of color.

Color Inspiration


We live at the top-floor of the building and have lots and lots of natural light. That gives us the freedom to use both a woodsy furniture base (which we love), as well as using darker colors, without the room appearing dark or crammed. Further we add bright accent colors whenever we get the chance.

Color Tips


We find that a calm base makes it easier to add color.

I still see the dominance of white so it's not exactly my idea for a Room For Color favorite, but I voted for it anyway because this is gorgeous.

At first I though the gray was a little "safe". I like my darks more dangerous. But the overall efect of the room is so calm and soothing I'm totally sold on such a lovey-dovey color. Really quite beautiful!

OMG that's a really beautiful room...and very clean - do you have a cleaning lady? (she does a nice job). And I think it's like really cool that you have all that natural light I totally vote for you and your room.

I love how the fuzzy seat covers give softness and warmth to the room. Also love the curved wall. Such a lovely, gentle space.

What a gorgeous and cozy room. Love the pendants, chairs and all the subtle textures and touches. You packed a lot of functionality in here without it being cramped. Great balance. Must be hard to leave it right about now! ;}
