For the walls, a velour green and all around a symphony of red, ochre, pink, moss and brown: a landscape inspired by a mix of Ballets Russes and gypsy interiors.

A foundation of the bright fall colors of the woods around the Lago Maggiore, in the North of Italy, where I live.

Color Tips


Concentrate on a detail (in my room, the tiles of the floor, from the first years of 1900) and imagine the rest, playing with shadows and assonances.

Love it! Those tiles could have been difficult to work with, but you pulled it off brilliantly! Also, I have a chair really similar to your zebra one but still with it's original upholstry, can't decide whether or how to recover it (I'm in Italy too).
